In the United States of American many problems are an issue but the topic of this essay is one I feel very strong about It is discipline and whether children today are being disciplined properly and whether the anti-corporal punishment activist understand the true meaning and effect of discipline When we look around the world at other countries and compare to the US we will see that America has one of the worst ratios of problem pertaining to children Why is that The answer to that is a lack of proper discipline Spanking and other forms of corporal punishment have been taken away from the schools and homes because it supposedly is harmful to a child and instead replaced with weak useless methods such as timeouts etc I dont believe corporal punishment is the only solution however I do believe it is the best choice so far in raising children The essence of discipline is to teach guide and mold children which can either be done the easy way or the hard way To help give a clear picture of the kind of discipline that should be enforced in the US is the type the new head of MEC for education in kwaZulu-Natal South Africa proposes According to Eileen Kankosi Shandu caningspanking is the surest way of maintaining an orderly and safe environment on schools In the US children are very disobedient troublesome and a nuisance simply because they have nothing to fear and they know they can get away with whatever they want The united States of America has a law that states if any child is hit or spanked in any such manner Even by their parents they can go to jail That law in it self explains why the US now Is faced with a huge problem of children killing children drug abuse high
