Most people live their lives practicing their religion doing what is allowed and keeping away from what is forbidden Killing or harming ones self or others is against most religions if not all of them from Christianity to Islam to Judaism to polytheistic religions That only makes sense opposing to contradicting beliefs in Jehovahs Witnesses a Christian religious group who believed in the second coming of Christ Blood transfusion was against their religion or so they believed which makes this story somehow complicated and controversial A woman had just delivered a baby but was losing a large amount of blood Her husband and children were pleading with her to take blood but she refused She also asked for a priest to sit with her as a witness while till she dies to prove that she did not accept blood from a foreign body The woman knew she would die if she did not have a blood transfusion but she refused and preferred death She could have saved her life and spared herself and her whole family a lot of pain and grief but she chose death instead Put two and two together and the conclusion would be Suicide There are always two sides of a story The first was suicide the second which is her point of view is an act of sacrifice for her religion Since blood transfusion was against the beliefs of Jehovahs witnesses why accept it However shouldnt one sacrifice everything for hisher family Inflicting pain on ones self and others is against all religions so that means she went against her own religion rather than abiding by it Her newborn baby needs a mother Heshe needs to be breastfed and should have motherly love tenderness and care Her husband cannot take care of everything alone and her children need a mother around This controversial issue could go on and on with different opinions here
