Almighty Parental Figure The story of Adam and Eve is a well known story about the first two biblical figures to live on earth G-d created Adam and placed him in a utopian situation where he could live freely It was a perfect life except for one restriction G-d tells Adam tree of the knowledge of good and evil thou shalt not eat of it Genesis 28 line 17 G-ds one rule is that his creations may not eat the fruit from the tree of knowledge and if they do then they shall die G-d seems to be an almighty parental figure symbolizing that G-d is their creator to Adam and Eve but G-d does not follow through on his word which leads Adam and Eve and humanity for that matter to believe that G-d is compassionate G-d creates Eve in the image of Adam and as anticipated Eve learns of the forbidden tree Eve is enticed by a serpent to eat the fruit of the tree and she does the same to Adam Upon eating the fruit they learned of good and evil which persuaded them to cover up their nakedness As the story continues Adam and Eve hid when G-d was walking through the garden however when heshe called on Adam he replied I heard thy voice in the garden and was afraid because I was naked and I hid myself G-ds reply was an interesting reply for a Supreme Being G-d tells Adam Who told thee that thou wast naked Hast thou eaten of the tree whereof I commanded thee that thou shouldest not eat For a being that can create manipulate and destroy all things in the universe G-d acts as if heshe does not know of the wrongs that Adam and Eve did Only after he asked Adam Eve and the serpent of their wrongs did he know that they ate from the tree Supreme Being mythology states
