How to Make a Sock-It-To-Me Cake When I get a sweet tooth I like something flavorful yet not too sweet I like something warm with a little texture I like something rich that has a hint of butter flavor that really wakes up my taste buds and something that really satisfies my sweet craving Its at times like this that I have to have my Sock-It-To-Me cake The first thing I did before I began making my cake was to wash my hands which is very important I then started out by preheating the oven to 375 degrees F I took out the bundt cake pan and a can of shortening and with my washed fingers I began to coat the entire inside of the pan with the shortening I shook some flour in the bundt pan and then dusted the pan by shaking the flour around allowing it to lightly coat all the inner areas of the pan including the middle tube I then took out all the ingredients that I would need to make the cake which consisted of the Duncan Hines Deluxe Butter yellow cake mix 4 eggs 8 oz container of sour cream 13 cup Crisco Oil cup water and cup granulated sugar I put a small amount of the cake mix in a separate bowl to use in my streusel filling and put all the rest into the mixing bowl I cracked in the eggs blended in the sour cream oil water and sugar This is just an extra tip but you can toss the egg shells into the sink and grind them in the food waste disposal This actually helps keeps the blades sharpened I hand beat the batter mixture for approximately 3 or 4 minutes until it was not so lumpy I then took the extra cake mix that I had put in a separate small bowl and added 2
