In the novel Lord of the Flies by William Golding This novel takes place on an empty island with a group of boys from small kids to older kids They are there because of a tragic plane crash leaving then there without any parental supervision The main characters of this novel are Jack Piggy Simon Roger Sam Eric and Ralph Jack catches my attention because of his strengths weaknesses and primitive urgesJack is described as some sort of evil person who is looking for trouble Golding states inside the floating cloak he was thin and bony his hair was red beneath the black cap His face was crumbled and freckled and ugly without silliness Jack is described as a stain in the darkness Dickenson Jack is now trying to transfer himself into a different person Out of jacks face stared two light blue eyes frustrated now and turning or ready to turn to anger Jacks eyes are always used in the novel to depict his emotions as they are above By the end of the novel Jack had adopted a mask to hide behind His hair grows longer And his clothes become ripped and unravel The chief was sitting there naked to the waist his face blocked out in white and red Golding 119Jacks weaknesses in the Lord of the Flies are that at first Jack cannot kill This shows that Jack is not entirely evil in the beginning Jack cannot conceal his anger Friedman Jack also does not consider anyone elses feelings or opinions Jack never considers anything but his own pleasure thus he can be considered an allegorical representation of the id Henningfield This quote lets us know that he is extremely self centered Jack also thinks that only his view points counts Jack had a need to be accepted Early on in the novel Jack took the men away from fire duty letting the fire go out to hunt and kill
