In response to Perrys essay I feel as though Perry brought upseveral validrationales It is initially important for theevaluation of cow and bull to look past the cowers andbullers sense of humor Often in the questioning of apotential offense intention and humor are sometimes so similarthey are confused and interchanged amongst one another Toevaluate the meaning behind action is to understand theintention Intention is most often undetectable especially incompromising situations such as the situations in which illprepared test takers become cowers and bullers Trying todetermine intention could very well be a monotonous cycle ofquestions all based upon the unknown meaning within the actionThis makes Perrys decision to dis include the writers cowersor bullers sense of humor or any attempt at understandingintention a valid addition to his theoryEven though many say that cowing and bulling are both inappropriate and foul use of time I agree with Perry in sayingthat in regards to the code of liberal education bullingoffers a better demonstration of more knowledge because if thepurpose of liberal education was to be based around reading andmemorizing key vocabulary words and phrases easily flipped opento in a book there would be no real purpose for teachers andprofessors to discuss and relate to students of liberaleducation If you did not already knowa liberal education aimsto teach you how to thinkCowers do not demonstrate thisInstead cowers restate facts that arent necessarily firm intheir mind While cowers seldom profit through vague andunimaginative answers cowers are also disabled by theinability to appreciate and apply memorized data Cowers areoften less fortunate than bullers for good reason Cowerscheat themselves out of an education and lack any realapplication of information or thoughtYet there are stillthose who argue that while the act of bullingmay maintain more application of education it is also moreunethical As previously stated this is not a judgment to bemade subject to ethics In this case judgment lies solely inhow well the expectations of liberal education are metBullersprovide a story of
