After reading and analyzing Act II scene II of the Romeo and Juliet play I get the impression that Romeo is either really in love or that he is just full of lust and has an infatuation with Juliet I gain this opinion due to the fact that he already has a female acquaintance and he easily leaves her to try to gain the company of Juliet This scene is the famous balcony scene where Romeo decides that he would like to risk his life in order to talk to the girl that caught his eyes and that he had snuck a kiss from earlier After gaining Juliet attention she turns to Romeo and says to him How camst thou hither tell me and wherefore The orchard walls are high and hard to climb Here she is asking why he has come and also inform him that he could not get up because of the height of the wall and that it would be hard for him to get up there She continues And the place death considering who thou are If any of my kinsmen find thee here Here Juliet is implying that not only would it be hard for him to get up to the balcony but also that he is risking his life due to the fact that her family doesnt like his family and that they would have no problem with killing him Romeo whom is driven by love cares not of the dangers that are before him and he replies With loves light wings did I oerperch these walls For stony limits cannot hold love out And what love can do that dares love attempt Therefore thy kinsmen are no stop to me Romeo is simply telling Juliet that the walls that she views as being so high are not high enough to stop love Romeo is also not threatened by Juliets kinsmen because his love for her
