My Summary of the article Intersex The second article that I was to summarize is a different approach It still deals with sexual situations But the only difference is that you can actually be born with this problem not something that you would have chosen All of us were given a gender in this article it talks about how a person can have both femalemale parts Explains the hardships they go through for being born in the way they are Tells how they sometimes have to find shelter and live alone Some people will just hate you and look at you in a different way this leads to physical and metal abuse In preliminary data the Gender Violence and Resource Access Survey of Intersex individuals found 50 of respondents had been raped or assaulted by a romantic partner though only 62 of those raped or assaulted 31 of the total sample identified themselves as survivors of domestic violence when explicitly asked Of those who were raped or injured 23 12 of the total sample required medical attention for injuries inflicted by a romantic partner All of those who received treatment self-identified as survivors of domestic violence when asked After reading that part I was extremely shock that someone would do such a horrid thing it shows how strong they are bc an experience like that can become traumatizing and suicidal As I continued reading further it described explicit real life situations of what can happen when u are born different like for instance what one man went through when he was raped by two other man and what one girl went through when her dad found out she didnt have a clitoris and how she under took surgery I wish not to discuss this due to the content of the matter It continued to talk about the barriers that they had to go through and how sometimes they werent even able
