Discuss how film Ancient Futures Learning from Ladakh relates to film The Coat of Many Countries In the film The Coat of Many Countries the relationship between the people of their countries and foreign investors seems to be positive Overall it had a good impact on the countries industrial development and on their standard of living In fact the movie gives us an idea about the benefits of global economy for maker and buyer On another hand the film Ancient Futures Learning from Ladakh the arrival of manufacturing and industrial development had a negative effect on people who live there The main reason for such difference in impacts on those countries is that the traditional economies in both sets of countries from movies initially were founded differently In countries from the first movie the coming of foreign investors was greatly appreciated by populations The reason for that was that their economies were feeding on manufacturing and technological developments that were undermined by their governments and people New investors were needed to push forward their economies Money and ideas of foreign investors were the only thing needed to improve the economic positions of their countries As new jobs were in demand new factories were built and workers salaries were raised to comply with laws of supply and demand Such changes gave the opportunity to people to get secure jobs with benefits in their own country by foreign employers I understand that the governments were more than ready to accept foreigners due to their ability to collect on applicable taxes Almost everyone in those countries benefited from those radical changes Differently the movie Ancient Futures Learning from Ladakh shows only negative effects on Ladakhs economy and development Movie showed that people of Ladakh are victims of development because of psychological pressure to modernise and westernise People of Ladakh are lacking the self-confidence and self-worth because they want to be like Western World All this influence
