On fourth-and-goal from the 1-yard line with three seconds left to play Texas quarterback Chris Simms hands off to Cedric Benson who hurdles the left side of the line and Fumbles Did he break the plane first or just break the hearts of Longhorn fans Say Benson lost possession of the ball after he scored but the officials rule it a fumble and the Oklahoma defense recovers the ball in the end zone for a touchback to win the fiesta Bowl game 14 10 for the national championship Imagine the outcry Should the instant replay be used in college football games In my opinion college football does not need instant replay It isnt necessary Lets use our money for the more important things We should be working on lowering college tuition rather than raising it We should be creating more jobs for the unemployed getting food to the starving or books to the illiterate not worrying about a call in a college football game The price of the instant replay for the National Football Association is estimated at 8 million dollars to make the stadiums instant replay ready After the 8 million its another 15 million per year There are 32 teams in the NFL and 117 division 1 college teams That is an estimated 29 million dollars to equip all the stadiums with the necessary technology It would cost about 55 million to keep it running every year Money well spent I think NOT Some people may think that getting instant replay in college football is necessary They may have some valid arguments If we dont get instant replay into college football the referees will continue screwing up the fate of certain teams I for one feel that there are very few valid arguments about the poor officiating It is a man made sport and shouldnt be taken over by instant replay We could spend a ton of money on
