Jim's feedback:
"The writing is complicated, and information is repeated. Economy in writing is conducive to clarity. As a common noun, “intranet” should not be capitalized. The possessive form of “it” is “its” and not “it’s.” The term “intranet” appears often and it is the focus of this article, yet it is not defined until the end of the first page. The definition should be part of the introduction. The student claims that intranets did not exist until two years ago, yet a quick internet search indicates their presence as long ago as 1996. Terms such as “nowadays” are informal and unnecessary. An incomplete sentence (“The most popular ones …”) on page 3 should be appended to the previous sentence or rewritten to include a subject and a verb acting on it; note that “and many others” is useless information, especially in a list of the most popular. This paper provides much information, all of it undocumented. As an introduction, it would benefit the reader to limit the level of detail."
