There are many causes that people in the United States have been fighting for and trying to make a difference all over the world Recently the Invisible Children has grown to become a large non-profit organization focusing on saving the children in Uganda from being abducted by the Lords Resistance Army Three college students went to Uganda in 2003 and documented the children who flee their homes at night in order to protect themselves from being captured by the rebels The purpose of this video is to reinforce the idea of helping poor children resist being captured by the LRAs The visuals in this video provide emphasizes that we are fortunate enough to not have a rebellious government and that these children do need help in order to end the war This appeals to logos because he shows facts and images of people in order to reiterate that people really can help and it is being done In a way the video makes you feel remorseful and a little guilty because sometimes we really take our lives for granted and do not realize that there are people out there not just in Uganda but all over that are in desperate need for helpWhenever the narrator claimed that young people were mobilizing the shots would consist of students gathering in large numbers at rallies with banners To add more rhetorical force the clip zoomed in on the numbers of 640 to show emphasize the amount of numbers of civilians that were killed within 3 months They also zoomed in on 2000 to express the amount of numbers of civilians were abducted Then the camera zoomed back into a close up of a single childs face The zoom reminds viewers each featureless face actually represents a real individual rendering the statistics into actual peopleMy eye was first drawn to the images of these children and how innocent they look Having the text with the pictures shown reinforces
