Sicily vs US Many people have had the opportunity to travel to a different country and tell about their experiences I had the opportunity to travel to Sicily and Im going to tell you about some of the experiences Ive encountered while there My main focus is to explain some of the major differences of Sicily compared to the US To be more specific I want to focus on some of the tourists attractions that Ive visited government laws compared to US laws and the social lives of the Sicilian people The country of Sicily is located off the southern coast of Italy The country of Sicily is about the size of Rhode Island so you can visualize that its not too large of a country While visiting Sicily Ive had the opportunity to visit one of the worlds most spectacular tourist attractions One attraction in particular was visiting Mt Etna Mt Etna is located on the eastern coast of Sicily in a town called Catania MtEtna is known for being the most active volcano in the world If you compare this experience to any US attractions it wouldnt compare In the US there are no known active volcanoes in existence Not too many people can say that theyve had the opportunity to visit a real life active volcano This attraction would have to be one of my favorites due to the uncommon existence of active volcanoes in the world Another tourist attraction that Ive had the opportunity to visit was the Costello di CariniCastle of Carini The Costello di Carini is located on the western coast of Sicily in a town called Carini This castle has been recently reconstructed for the villagers of Carini This castle has been opened to the public for tours of the castle What makes this castle so extraordinary is that some of the materials used to reconstruct the castle are original For example some painting still
