Brians Song The movie Brians song had to do with two people Brian Picclol and Gale Sayer They were the same because they both played halfback for the Chicago Bears but they were different because Brian was white and very talkative and Gale was black and very quite they also are both rookies When they first met they didnt like each other that much During the seasons that they played for the Chicago bears together they shared a room This was the first time on the team when a black and white player would share a room Through sharing a room they became really good friends They find out that Gale is going to be starting halfback and Brian would be the backup for Gale In one of the last games of the season Gale gets hurt pretty badly He gets hit right in the knee When he goes to the doctor he says that he will not be able to play football for awhile Gale is mad that he is hurt but Brian told Gale that he was going to help him get better After Gale got better he was back at starting halfback Then the coaches did something that both Gale and Brian didnt expect them to do They put Brian at starting fullback But during the season Brian was getting weaker and losing more weight So the coaches decided to take Brian off the starting team After Brian was taken off the starting team he went to the doctor and found out that he had cancer The doctors told him that he would need to have surgery to remove the tumor on his right lung Gale would always come and visit Brian whenever he could Then Brian finds out that he needs another operation to get the rest of the tumor While Brian was in the hospital Gale received an award for courage and he dedicated it to Brian When Gale
