Hamlet the murder of King Claudius Hamlet written by William Shakespeare is a famous tragedy play about Prince Hamlets revenge for his father and which ultimately leads to his death The protagonist of the play is Hamlet Prince of Denmark becomes the tragic hero who successfully makes his vengeance for his fathers death by killing the antagonist King Claudius but he also loses his own life as well as the lives of those dearest to him in the end Since at the beginning of the play Hamlets depressed for his fathers death and the quick remarriage of his mother and King Claudius motives his attempt to find out the truth and further his father informs him about his murder as a ghost which causes him to revenge Therefore throughout the play from seeking the murder to justify the truth and finally revenge Hamlet is plotting to kill the murder of his father King Claudius in order to reach his goal of revenge which is the major theme throughout the play At the beginning of the play Hamlet returns his home to Denmark from school in Germany to attend his fathers funeral He not only feels deep depressed of his dear fathers death but also he is shocked to find out his mother Queen Gertrude has already remarried two months after her husbands death with his uncle Claudius who takes over his throne and becomes the new king He could not understand how his mother can hang on him as if increase of appetite had grownIt is not nor it cannot come to good Shakespeare I I 147-148 forgets his father so quickly Hamlets depression and madness were not only caused by the death of his father but by his mothers remarriage His love for his dear father motives him to seek the murder Hamlet finds out the truth of his fathers death from the ghost of him The ghost tells him that he
