In Robert Frost Poem Ghost House Frost describes to us a person who is in a ghost house Ghost House is an extremely descriptive poem descriptive poem depicting an old haunted house The imagery in this poem gives the readers a sense of loneliness and darkness The imagery alliteration repetition and rhyme in Ghost House provide the poem with better description and detail In addition Frosts achieve in make the ghost house more alive as if we were in the ghost house Ghost House is about a current resident of a ghost house who is haunted by ghost figures The poem is told through the eyes of this speaker The owner is somewhat scared of his uninvited company However the owners opinion of the ghost couple seems to change towards the end of the poem when Frosts writes With None among them there ever sings And yet in view of hose many things As sweet companions as might be had Line 28-30 It almost sounds like as if he feels sorry for them when he mentions how they stand together silently As a poetic element the imagery in Ghost Story provides the readers with a vivid image of aspects of the surroundings such as the grape-vines 6 and the small dim summer star 21 This imagery allows the reader to see the house as if he were the speaker Frost uses such imagery as he writes I dwell in a lonely house I know That vanished man a summer ago And left no trace but the cellar walls And a cellar in which the daylight falls And the purple-stemmed wild raspberries grow Line 1-5 We can picture an old weak house covered with vines and wild
