Jenn's feedback:
"By reading all of the text of the essay, it is clear what the purpose of your paper is. Having said this, the purpose of your paper should be able to be derived from an introduction and a conclusion. Consider including an introduction that tells the reader what you will be writing about, ending with a thesis statement that guides the rest of the paper. Also include a conclusion that summarizes all of the main points made in the body of the paper. You tend to use a lot of signal phrases throughout your paper and many of them include the word "I." Using the word "I" makes your paper sound less scholarly, so make an effort to reword sentences so that the word "I" is not necessary. For the most part you did a great job with MLA formatting. Go through your paper and make sure that your citations are included before periods at the end of sentences and not after periods. There are also a number of grammar and punctuation errors that are affecting the comprehension of the essay. Make sure to do a round of proofreading to resolve these issues."
