"This essay is strong once it gets into the analyses of the various points outlined by the prompt. The introduction and following paragraphs are somewhat rough, however. Your thesis statement claims that the film has expanded your values, ideas, and beliefs, yet the prompt asks how your perception has changed. Your introduction should give an idea of the substance of the essay, not merely the subject you plan to discuss.

While a synopsis of the film can provide appropriate context, make sure it stays on topic. In places, the summary feels aimless and doesn't keep in mind the central theme of the paper. As written, it also sounds like a fictional story although the film is based around the events in a significant historical figure's life.

There are several areas where words are used incorrectly or awkward sentence structure affects readability. Make sure to proofread your essay thoroughly before submitting."
