What Sells Success and money are two words that are thought of as going hand in hand If you dont have money your not thought of as a successful person and therefore are not thought of as happy People have come up with these conclusions for a very long time and no matter where they came from its common knowledge that most people think just this way The media takes this into consideration when planning out their ways to advertise to the world They how people think they graphs surveys and statistics that show them exactly what angle to use They take everything they know and plan out a killer advertisement that gets us every time One example of this is the advertisement we see in or book on page 352 A woman is showed lying on a bed covered in money with a big smile on her face Right from the beginning we see money equaling happiness She seems to have no care in world while grabbing handfuls of money and having one leg in their in complete ecstasy Just by looking at this position and emotion people could come to the conclusion that if they had this money their lives would simpler and happier than what they are now They could also think that without theyll never reach this kind of happiness Her emotional status isnt thing that these advertisers know to show When looking at the picture there is few more things that you notice For example the woman on the bed doesnt exactly look like she came from a low-income household and never does the room that the bed is in When you look around you see some nice things lying around the room like nice furniture as well as clothes hung over the chair You can also tell that shes pretty much upper class by her appearance in the picture She seems to be a young
