In the early part of Frankenstein Frankenstein and his creation have a conversation Victor says I felt what the duties of a creator towards his creature were Later in the novel the creature criticizes Victor when he says You my creator detest and spurn me thy creature to whom thou art bound by ties only dissoluble by the annihilation of one of us These quotes relate to one of the major themes in this story the responsibility of creator for the creation People in todays modern society suffer just as much as Frankensteins creation did with the separation of the creator and the creation One of the major themes is the responsibility of the creation by the creator In the beginning of the novel the creation is rejected by Victor when Victor first sees his creation alive His first emphasis is directed towards the eyes of the monster and how eerie they look and how terrifying they are When the monster is rejected he goes on a killing spree that involves people Victor is related to or knows very well Victor has expected his creation to be perfect and flawless but it doesnt turn out that way so he disowns the creation to satisfy himself Either the creature has to be perfect or nothing at all in Victors eyes Victor only thinks of himself and not of what others may think The thing is that the monster had nothing to do with what he looks like It was all in the hands on Victor and Victor should have though about what his creation would look like before he started with his creation One specific aspect of this idea would be of people who have some kind of deformities such as amputation to a part of their body birthmarks in visible places blemishes acne problems or even having freckles The people who may have such deformities may be teased and taunted every single day
