The rulers of Castile and Aragon made an unusual alliance against Muslim Granada This is where it starts when the Lord King of Aragon had taken the kingdom of Murica from King En Fernando of Castile and devastated much of his territory The Castilians did not raise a war against him because they saw no good of it So instead they negotiated a peace treaty It was that the eldest son of the king of Aragon called Infante En Jaime was to marry the daughter of King En Fernando Murcia was later given up the Castilians Later on the king of Aragon decided to attack the Saracens namely the king of Granada in order to take revenge because they have broken the truce when the king of Castile had left him There for he arranged with the king of Castile that they should fight against the king of Granada and besiege land That was when the king of Castile went and besieged Algeciras and Lord king besieged Almeria The lord king was backed up very powerfully with many Catalan and Aragonese Richs homons and barons and also the Lord Infante En Fernando who had many horsemen with him On the eve of Saint Bartholomew to the surprise the moors were already there ready to fight the Lord king It was as if they have a prior notice about the sudden attack This was all due to king of Castiless fault because he started the siege without telling the Lord king Therefore the Lord king was surprised to see the Moors ready with so many people upon him In spite this did not scare him a single bit but instead he ordained that Lord Infante should stay and have a close watch on the attackers at a place called esperante There it was the Moors came along with the son of the Moorish king ready to attack Infante at esperante They fought harshly but at
