Television itself has been around for at least half a century At first television showed wholesome family programs like Lucy The Honeymooners Andy Griffith and others It was a fantasyland for viewers but as time went by they wanted different programs In the late seventies and eighties stations started to make detective shows with mild violence like Magnum PI Magyver and Knight Rider From there TV stations started to appeal to what their viewers want Their TV station job is to make the viewer happy By doing this they pole random people to get an idea of what type of show to air at Prime Time8pm to 10pm The kinds of programs that some stations show are only appropriate for certain types of audiences They are filled with a lot of sexual content extreme violence and vulgar language Audiences between the ages of four and twelve shouldnt be exposed to this type of content At this age its a proven fact that they are in the most influential stage of their lives Also some from the older audiences shouldnt be watching this programs either Theyre like children they take what they see and try to perform or act what they see but this doesnt mean that television controls our society Television is doing what its supposed to do entertain us Television is a business It appeals to the group of consumers that buys or watches the most TV The generation that does this gets the type of programs that it wants to see Which are sex violence and bad language chosen by our teenage generation When you appeal to just one group conflicts will arise Children these days stay up at later times and at these times they see the half naked women people shooting each other and kids talking back to their teachers Thats why parents should crack down on what younger kids watch TV is not to blame for what children
