Speech 3 Americas Contribution It is obvious to see that America is a huge force in the world today America controls much of the worlds wealth and it is by far the strongest nation in the world However I believe that the American ideals have much more impact on the world than any of Americas wealth or power Our constitution has been around a short time in contrast to how long other nations of the world have existed Yet many of these ancient countries are adopting in a way the American constitution Many of these nations such as Germany England and Japan have accepted the United Nation Universal Declaration of Human Rights These nations are a couple hundred years older than the United States of America and yet they have accepted a almost exact replica of the United States Bill of Rights In article 2 of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights it states Everyone is entitled to all the rights and freedoms set forth in this Declaration without distinction of any kind such as race color sex language religion political or other opinion national or social origin property birth or other status Furthermore no distinction shall be made on the basis of the political jurisdictional or international status of the country or territory to which a person belongs whether it be independent trust non-self-governing or under any other limitation of sovereignty This article 2 it is much like Amendment 15 in the United States Constitution that reads The right of citizens of the United States to vote shall no be denied or abridged by the United States or by any state on account of race color or previous conditions of servitude As I see it this amendment basically makes it so no matter who you are you should have the same basic right as everyone else Many of the other amendments show a contrast between the two documents
