The concept of writing about nature was one of the dominant themes of early American literature Perhaps one of the most popular authors who addressed the topic of nature William Wordsworth wrote many timeless classics that are still read and used to teach in todays literature When studying the works of the William Wordsworth one must first take in account the narrative of Wordsworths life as well as examples from his works themselves to gain a better perspective of how William Wordsworth addresses nature William Wordsworth was born on April 7 1770Poets 1578 Wordsworth was the second child in a family of 5Bloom 11 His parents are John and Ann Wordsworth The family was forced to split up in March of 1778 due to Ann Wordsworths death The boys were sent to Hawkshead for education and the girl Dorothy was sent to live with her mothers cousin in Halifax In December of 1783 John Wordsworth died In October of 1787 Wordsworth went to St Johns College Cambridge to become an undergraduate He graduated from Cambridge without an honors degree in January 1791 He then moved to France where he met Annette Vallon and had a child with her A war broke out between France and England shortly after his first poem was published which led to Annette and William splitting upPoets 1578-1579 In 1794 Wordsworth spent a few weeks with his sister Dorothy He was content with himself during those two weeks which is remarkable since he had been living in misery He moved in with his friend Raisley Calvert Calvert died from a terminal illness a year later Wordsworth had suffered since he was young seeing his close family and friends dying He moved in with Dorothy and in 1794 he met Samuel Taylor Coleridge Coleridge and Wordsworth became very close They all moved to Germany together and lived in a town close to a University They split up in hopes of learning German
