Lilly is a normal woman who is just starting out in the world She just graduated from college and is looking for a job She sends in many applications and hopes she finds something good She gets an interview one day and is ecstatic She goes into her interview ready for anything they throw her way She does well at the interview and goes home positive that she will get the job When she gets home she goes on her Facebook and posts that she just had a great interview for a new job Lily then decides to look at her pictures on her Facebook and sees that she still has pictures from her graduation party Yikes She can see herself drunk on her living room couch passed out Many people in todays society are in Lilys situation However many people do not really realize that they are in this situation because they do not realize that job places are checking Facebook and other social media sites that their maybe future employees go on To prevent situations like this social media sites especially Facebook should create software that makes it so that people can better decide about what they are posting This will help unemployment rates go down and bring bullying rates down as well Over the years Facebook has made some actions to censor certain posts and they even have a Report this button However even with these attempts there is still a lot of inappropriate material posted on social media sites On Facebook they have pages that are dedicated to things like naked girls and sex These kinds of things should not exist but they do Another thing that exists in social media is very vulgar language In the past things like this were blocked or immediately taken down but today they exist freely In the age of the Internet a public persona is forced upon us growing with or without our conscious
