Are School Uniforms the Solution If school uniforms were required would discipline increase or decrease in schools Most countries throughout the world require students to wear school uniforms The United States has one of the highest rates of lack of discipline and is one of the only countries that does not enforce school uniforms Some private schools in the US have uniforms Studies have shown that discipline in these schools is higher than in schools without uniforms Would the same results occur if school uniforms were required into American public schools Many Americans do not want to have a dress code or school uniforms because of the climate they say it would not be fair on the students because of the intense heat during the summer time In Australia where the climate is a lot hotter than the US the children are required to wear uniforms year round In England almost every school has some type of uniform and very seldom are students shot or stabbed in school Of course no matter what the schools do to prevent such thing from happening something always does according to studies schools that have uniforms have a lower percentage of something happening Students in the US who are allowed to wear what they want can cause many problems If a student goes to school wearing an offensive T-shirt for example it is almost guaranteed a conflict will erupt Parents also find it very difficult to dress their children in todays society At school unless students wear name brand shoes or clothes
