"This analysis goes deep, and the reader can really tell you've spent time with the various parts of the text. I appreciate the discussion about the Sirens as storytellers, as well. With your arguments, claims, and evidence down on the page, I recommend focusing the next draft on refining the various elements to head into a polished final product. One of the first things I notice is the length of the paragraphs -- length on its own is not a problem, but considering that, if double-spaced, some of your current paragraphs would be a 1.5 pages, it's worthwhile to consider what effect this has beyond overwhelming the reader. One risk is that it flattens out any movement in your discussion; any shifts or developments are lost in the block of text. Is this the case, and if so, are there moments where a paragraph break can indicate a new direction, even within the same topic? Alternatively, it may be the case that the paragraph as a unit is sound but the sentences or writing within are inefficient; in this case, look for areas where redundancies or phrasing, including passive voice, are bloating the paragraph. Trim those down for a more dynamic and assertive discussion. (This can also help catch minor errors that trouble clarity.)"
