Reality Is Everywhere CRASH There has just been an accident Suddenly there are sounds of sirens from ambulances and police cars rushing to the scene Many bystanders curiositys skyrocket because they want to know what has happened People up ahead on the road are slowing down and getting out of their cars in hopes of glimpsing a mangled car or seeing human wreckage This makes many spectators feel superior to the people involved in the accident or victimized by it People in society want to know anything and everything about the people around them whether it is public or private information They are so involved with others lives that private moments are being publicized especially on television American cultures obsession with reality-based television reveals how voyeurism exploitation and fantasy are sought through other peoples experiences Reality shows are broadcasted all over the television Two of the most well known reality shows were produced on MTV and those were Road Rules and Real World These shows basically have the same plot but Real World remains in the same house while Road Rules travels the World They have three guys and three girls living together to see how they get along and work together They must complete tasks by working together which can cause many conflicts They live with each other for approximately six months while putting their other real life on hold Other stations created many spin-offs from these reality shows They included shows such as Survivor and Temptation Island which must be watched the first time because there are no re-runs Survivor 2 was placed in the Australian Outback where two groups of eight called Kucha and Ogakor had to inhabit the island away from civilization and battle to remain on the island They have events to obtain items to help them survive such as food blankets pans to cook and much more Whichever team looses the game must erase a member from
