Jim's feedback:
"This is a good outline that suffers from a number of grammatical and spelling issues. The first sentence refers to plural “materials” and then changes to the singular “it.” This should be consistently singular or plural. The student can write, “Each material has a coefficient of linear expansion,” which eliminates the need to place the term in quotation marks. It is indicated that changes will be determined for several materials, such as glass, brass, etc., but these seem to be the only materials under examination, and they can be stated explicitly. Also, it is not true that the coefficient would be calculated; it will be calculated. “Pyrex” is a proprietary name that should be capitalized, and a space should appear after “(Pyrex).” Units other than degrees should have a preceding space, so we would write “0.6 m” and not “0.6m.” It seems that the array of numbers constitutes a table, which is not clear as presented. If referred to by number, equations should include those numbers, typically in parentheses and right-justified. The word “the” can generally be omitted in the equations; e.g., we would write “L1 = original length.” We would write the plural “coefficients of linear expansion.” Note that “textbook” is one word, “source” is misspelled, “through” is written as “though,” and “Pyrex” is misspelled as “Pyren.” There are several other misspellings, and “datas” is incorrect, as “data” is itself a plural form. There is no need to capitalize names of materials. The last few paragraphs have many grammatical issues. The student should run a grammar check before submitting work"
