1The constitutive and informational view of communication are two distinct subjects that we have talked about earlier on in the semester The constitutive view is basically what we do everyday and what we talk about without declaring what specific subject to talk about In the constitutive view all our interactions build onto one another and it goes into discourse because its all interrelated The informational view on the other hand can be described in one simple example When a person comes up to you and tells you that they want to talk about this certain topic and you agree that is an example of informational It is not like the constitutive view because constitutive relies on an interaction building on the other Informational specifies which direction the conversation is going or basically what is gonna be talked about whereas constitutive lets the interaction take its own course The interpersonal topic that I have chosen for my research paper is Initiation and maintenance of intimate relationships My native theory of this topic would be constitutive As we moved through the fist several weeks my native theory has evolved into a better understanding of the constitutive view I now know that the constitutive view is simply something we do everyday in our interactions with others and initiation and maintenance of relationships is something that I talk about with my friends and other peers almost everyday of my life We never really declare that this is what we are going to be talking about it just takes its place into conversations and it just builds up from there Safely going back to conclude that my native theory of my research topic is the constitutive view of communication 2When someone comes up to me in a business suit and asks me for directions I would simple give it to him The cognitive schema that takes play in this situation would be a prototype According to
