"Your introduction tells a good story, but it does not introduce your topic. You provide much good information, but your argument will be better served if it is more concise and focused. This applies particularly to your conclusion.
You should write “fourth” and not “4’Th.” The first paragraph starts in present tense and ends in past tense. As a single narrative, it should be entirely in one tense. Avoid arbitrary capitalization, such as “National,” and do capitalize proper nouns, such as in “Fortune 500.” You must leave a space before a left parenthesis. You mention money-hungry universities, and perhaps that is a fair assessment, but you make a better argument by setting aside your opinions and sticking to the facts. You should define “NCAA” the first time you use the term. You use an incomplete sentence (“That one school could offer …”); a sentence must have a verb acting on an object. You say a contract expires at the end of 2002, which was 20 years ago. You use a semicolon (“According to research …”) where a colon should be used. However, these both ruin the flow of the sentence, and in this case, a comma is called for."
