The winter chills of December seemed far away My family and I sat in the basking of the sunlight The incredible warmth of the sun was a balm for my soul With the end of 1999 approaching my parents and I decided to celebrate with a cruise to the Caribbean and the day promised to pass all expectationsNew Years Eve day began with great anticipation Not only was this the beginning of a new Millennium but also hunger touched my stomach and I knew a scrumptious breakfast awaited me Making my way to the dining room smells of eggs pancakes and sausage filled my nostrils Realizing that this constituted my last breakfast of the century I preceded to order as much of the good food I thought I could eat While difficult I managed to eat every last bite Then being overly stuffed I decided to join my family for sun and relaxation on the Lido deckToo full to move I felt like a beached whale So finding the most comfortable chair I sank into its welcome comfort This proved to be the perfect anecdote The calming waves brought instant relaxation which served me well by renewing my sprits and energy for the night of celebration After a restful nap in the warm sun I awoke excited about the evenings activities and returned to my room to change before going to dinner Dressed in my new double-breasted charcoal gray blazer the image reflected back to me from the mirror appeared dashing I left the cabin waiting for my parents to finishing dressing and thought about the night ahead My parents joined me and we left for the dinner-show The food at dinner was evening more tantalizing then at breakfast Ice-sculptors and more food then I have ever seen before greatened my senses My taste buds were assailed with the delicious tastes of escargots lobster bisque pressed duck and delightful desserts I had ever encountered One
