During the reign of Qin Shihuangdi many major changes to China had occurred which would change the history of the country forever The Qin Emperor was the one responsible for this change he reunited China as one and ended the Warring of States period Before 1974 little had been known about the First Emperor of China Since the discovery of the Terracotta Warriors more history of Ancient China and the Qin emperor slowly began to unravel This essay will be discussing the many different aspects of Ancient China and the Qin Dynasty that were uncovered when the Entombed Warriors were found and the significant events that occurred during the reign of the Qin Emperor This includes the dictatorship of the Qin Emperor the Warring States Period the uniting of China the Great Wall of China and the Entombed Warriors Qin Shihuangdi was born in 259 BC a time when China was divided into seven states Qin Han Wu Zhao Chu Qi and Yan which were constantly at war with each other this time was referred to as the Warring of States period Qin Shihuangdi rose to the throne as Emperor when he was just merely thirteen years old From the ages of thirteen to twenty two Qin Shihuangdis mother and an official named Lu Buwei handled the political affairs it was in 246 BC at age twenty two that Qin Shihuangdi took over Over a few years he began to go into war with the six states and conquered all six states Thus in 221 BC the Qin Emperor united all seven states as one and ended the two hundred years of bloodshed amongst the seven states the states no longer thought of themselves as different tribes but all of the same distinct nationality - Chinese Qin Shihuangdi made many changes that were meant to unify China as one First Qin Shihuangdi implemented a Legalist form of government The area was divided up in
