"You wrote this in a very approachable way, and your structure is good, with good intro and conclusion. Take a moment to review comma rules, such as commas used to separate grammatically nonessential phrases from the rest of the sentence. Also try to use words that mean what you want to say, rather than cliches, such as "cash cow" and "grease." It is also best to support your opinions with facts - if you can cite a source that indicates that a significant portion of the 1% holding the highest wealth are in the oil and gas industry (just an example), that may lend credibility. It may also help to address some opposing viewpoints, such as the scientific and technological advancements (just an example) that will occur in pursuit of the dwindling oil/gas reserves, because that gives you the opportunity to prioritize the advancements that you think are superior without leaving that "yeah, but..." opposition in the mind of the reader."
