Dear Chrama They finally got to me The wild influences of Rodericks superstitions finally got to me It was several nights after Madelines entombment and I was suffering from insomnia and couldnt sleep All the inanimate objects in the room began to tease and torture me The raging storm outside my window yelled at me and I began to tremble I aroused from my bed just as Roderick entered my room He was a mess soaked with hysteria and crazed eyes Hoping to calm his nerves I grabbed a novel and began reading to him Noises throughout the dreary house came parallel to the noises of the story I momentarily glanced at Roderick He maintained an uncontrollable tremor and rocked from side to side His ridged eyes were focused on the door and a sickly smile quivered on his lips I was petrified I now understood Rodericks superstitions I had no time to ponder my new conflictions Roderick confessed to unknowingly burying his sister alive Simultaneous to this utterance the door flung open and Madeline entered What a horrific sight she was Her dress was splotched with blood and she was emaciated With the last struggling nerve in her body she crumpled in upon Roderick Paralyzed with horror he was finalized by his own foreseen terrors The siblings fell to the floor united as one corpse I immediately fled from the mansion The storm was still roaring outside and lightening bolts raced across the sky I looked back at the house just in time to see the fissure open its gaping mouth A whirlwind arose and the walls fell inward Without hesitation the tarn swallowed the remaining fragments of the House of Usher I stood prostrated with uncertainty I would survive this chain of events but my mind had been altered I eventually regained my composure and turned towards home I had a long walk ahead of me Love Jargaine
