Nowy S261cz is my family city It is located in the heart of the Beskidy Mountains in the south of Poland It is only 2 hours away from Zakopane or Krakow - one of the oldest cities in Poland Near Nowy S261cz there are 3 nice lakes Ro380nowskie Czorszty324skie and Niedzickie They are all placed in the nice countryside full of green forests and have clean water so visitors can swim or sail there Around Nowy S261cz there are a few rivers but the best known are Dunajec Poprad and Kamienica These beautiful parts of Poland are visited by thousands of tourists every year We can find a lot of material culture there which shows the national identity of local people The main and largest city in this region is Nowy S261cz founded by Wac322aw II Czeski in 1292 Also Jan D322ugosz lived and worked here The centre of Nowy S261cz is one of the best places in the city It has some interesting buildings old churches and very modern constructions like banks or shops You can walk through most of attractions in a day and the bus service operates frequently and cheaply In my opinion the most important part of the centre are the castle ruins This building is about 700 years old and it was completely destroyed during the Second World War Today this historical area is a popular meeting point of young people because there is a nice park near the ruins The centre of Nowy S261cz seems to be a great place to go shopping too The shops in the Jagiello324ska Street show a large collection of usual and unusual products For example you can buy there exotic goods or some fruit and vegetables Near the centre of the town there are many exclusive and rather expensive restaurants and hotels You will never get bored in Nowy S261cz even during rainy or cold weather After the
