Catholic School vs Public School It was halfway through the seventh grade when my parents and I decided that it was time for me to transfer schools I was about to transfer toPublic School Prior to this I had been attending Catholic School These two schools are total opposites but at the same time they have many similarities Catholic School was a very small school In one building they had a pre-school a kindergarten and also grades one threw eight Each class was between twenty and twenty-five students There was only one teacher assigned to each grade and they were given their designated classrooms I stayed in the same classroom all day and the same teacher would teach every subject Even at lunchtime I went to the cafeteria got my lunch and then I would bring it back upstairs and had to then eat my lunch at my desk in my classroom This was the same desk that provided all the space offered to put any books or supplies needed into I was also only assigned one hook on a wall inside a closet to hang my coat and backpack on I also had to wear a uniform to school The uniform consisted of a pair of navy blue dress pants and a light blue golf shirt My class was made up of approximately nineteen people and this class was made up of the same people every year except for the select few that would switch grades or schools Due to the fact that the class was so small everyone became pretty close friends On the other hand there is public school Public School was also a relatively small school but after going to catholic school it seemed unbelievably large There were approximately one hundred students
