Is freedom really free No it is something all Americans have to work at even students and young Americans We are the future of America The shock of September 11th is still with us I now know the importance and what freedom really meansFreedom is just not a state of being but a way of life for Americans We have to work for freedom It starts first at home It is important that the stories of Americas past be kept alive so all of us remember when our freedoms were lost or threatened from the days of the Civil War thru all our nations wars and conflictsto today the terrorists of Afghanistan We need to keep freedom alive Not be complacent Americas freedom is very special Educators must work to reinforce what freedom means It has a different meaning to all of us but in times of a national tragedy we all must show the strength America has Politicians and world leaders must unite to show their force and strength to preserve not only America but all world peace This is not easy and is not free Freedom does cost It is time and education of the American people our students and most of all our soldiers Freedom is not free when it takes the lives of fellow Americans and endangers the lives of the policemen firefighters rescue workers and even rescue dogs Freedom is not free when you live in fear and have to fight for that freedom The cost is great The lives of soldiers and civilians That can not be replaced The damage and devastation as a result of our retaliation is great in order to protect Americas freedom and promote world peace As a young American my role is more important than ever It is reinforced each day thinking of ground zero and knowing what was lost Is freedom really free No look at the faces of the
