Bridget's feedback:
"You write with purpose and focus, establishing your topic, stance, and main points clearly and efficiently. Your next steps should work within the existing draft's structure and argumentation, enhancing presentation and persuasiveness. One area to focus on will be making sure all quotations are clearly cited. (A Works Cited can help clarify if all of the quotations are from the same source.) Depending on the if and where of any use of in-text parenthetical citations, you will need to tidy up the punctuation following quotations (or citations); similarly, proofread for occasional errors -- in an essay with a strong stance and voice, error-free precision of language is key to ethos.
On a final note, I'm curious how effective is the point that someone else would have come along if Columbus had not; I suggest avoiding counterfactuals and instead emphasize that he was not unique in his ambitions or desires (as you do elsewhere)."
