The car aggressively halted beside me and the horn blurted HONKKKK I nearly had a heart attack The small blue Jettas headlights stood just six inches to the left of my bicycles tires I looked at the man his eyes were crossed with anger and mouth pouted with disgust I followed his cold hand gesture and I quickly collected myself Breathing heavily I slowly pedaled towards the sidewalk my hands tightly gripping the handle bars I felt no control of my body every muscle was tense Since that moment I have been extremely cautious and nervous when I have to cross an intersection Whether I am driving biking running or walking my eyes are always on the lookout I try to relax but I cannot The panicky feeling I got that day reoccurs every time I have to cross a street or reach an intersection where I have to turn My hearts starts beating and I get ferocious butterflies in my stomach Im not completely terrified of cars when they get close to me though my nerves act up When I bike run and walk I make sure to do so on a sidewalk Its quite funny when I drive I only have my learners permit I my body leaning forward am always on the edge of my seat I look like an old grandmother with poor vision I am always looking out for cars and I drive really slowly my mother sometimes gets frustrated Over the summer I had a spontaneous motivation to go work out I had a lot of nothing on my mind so I decided I would go on a bike ride I pulled down my orange bike from the tall rack in my garage which nearly knocked me over I plugged in my headphones and blasted my workout playlist I started down the driveway took a right and continued down 176th Street I took a turn
