During my first quarter in Humanities 102 my professor elaborates the analysis of humanism from the Middle Ages to Dark Ages to the Renaissance Age As a class we analyze artists and writers ideas and viewpoints in paintings and poems during their existence We evaluated in great detail original development in Renaissance art with significance focus on traditional and non-traditional themes by certain painters and poets The painting portrayed as The Lamentation of Christ by the artist known as Giotto di Bondone and the poem Sonnett 133 written by Francesco Petrarch convey their ideas in a non-traditional situation within their masterpiece Giotto di Bondone is considered as one of the original painters during the Renaissance era Giotto was spotted as a deprived young shepherd by a man name Cimabue amazed by his talent Cimabue brought him to Florence Giotto was exposed to the civilization of an artistic type where he builds a reputation as the inventor of a new approach of painting First take a look at the painting The Lamentation created by Giotto di Bondone Giotto The Lamentation 1305-1306This image is known as one of Giotto greatest innovative piece created during 1305-06 within the Scrovegni Chapel Padua In the painting Lamentation Giotto manages to express his unique style of his vision towards the death of Jesus Christ and the emotional outcome it had towards the people around him Giotto portrayed the main theme within the painting as you can see is the impact of mourning and grief over the dead body of Jesus Christ publicly Evidence in the painting illustrate when you look at the painting you can see each person in the painting with a depressing expression on their face and in their body language The only few faces you are not able to see is the two females back turned from the painting Also the group of women towards the left hand side corner is not quite noticeable as well We
