Most of society now depends on social networking websites for keeping up with friends and letting the world know what is going on in their life Do people ever really stop to think about what exactly they are putting on the internet though Predator by Terri Blackstock provides a completely new insight to her readers by making the novel very relatable Predator is focused around a social networking website called GrapeVine This website is equivalent to many of the social networking commonly used today such a Facebook or Twitter Beginning with the murder of a young Ella Carmichael and escalating the murders of two other beautiful teenage girls this novel captures the readers from the very first chapter While reading the first few chapters of this novel I was thinking about how nave this girl was and that she was stupid enough to basically give the guy her information As I progressed further into the book I started realizing that Ella Carmichael was just a normal fourteen year old girl who put the same kind of information on the internet as basically any teenager would She would post status updates talking about her school and her hometown without even thinking about who might be on the other end reading what she was posting By the time I reached the end of the book I had realized that she wasnt a nave young girl she was a normal teenager who didnt think twice about what she posted online This entire novel really hit me hard but one of the key points for me was when Krista Carmichael Ellas sister started questioning God during the difficult weeks following her sisters murder In this point in the novel I started to realize that we become so quick to question God and turn away from Him in difficult times Proverbs 1921 says Many are theplansin a persons heart but it is theLords purpose that prevails We tend to focus
