In life we tend to constantly question things on whether theyre good or bad In The Grapes of Wrath by John Stienbeck you are really given the opportunity to seek what is right There is the are two paths to understand the way of the Capitalism verse the way of the Community Throughout the next paragraphs you will be able to make the choice on what you would think is right verse wrong During The Grapes of Wrath there are many moments where we are able to get a good perspective of what its like in the Capitalistic world In this book we are specifically shown the outcome of how the Banks are hurting the people and taking their land In this next quote the owners of the land tell the tenants that they have to leave because they arent able to earn enough money with the amount of crops that they gain They are forced out of their own home due to the banks wanting to just bring in tractors for less money and less time spent working And at last the owner men came to the point The tenant system wont work anymore One man on a tractor can take the place of twelve or fourteen families Pay him a wage and take all the crop We have to do it We dont like to do it But the monsters sick Somethings happened to the monster 44 ch 5 This quote refers the Bank to be a monster something that is taking over peoples lives without thinking twice about it From this we get this idea that the Bank is almost a fictional thing that is made up and controlled by something that isnt like us or even not real Its not us its the bank A bank isnt like man Or an owner with fifty thousand acres he isnt like a man either Thats the monster 45 ch5 On the contrary
