I have chosen The Fighter USA DavidORussell 2010 The movie is a drama about the real life story of the Ward Brothers Specifically Micky Ward who was a struggling boxer trying to make it big with the help of his junkie hometown boxing legend brother Dicky Eklund The first shot I am writing about occurs just after Alice picks up Dickh from the crack house to bring him to the family meeting at the Ward residence The second shot I am writing about occurs just after Dicky comes to Charlenes house to make amends and then Micky comes overThe first shot is of Charlene and Micky when there sitting on the couch talking to Dicky and Alice This is a two shot of Micky and Charlene His hair is short and messy and Charlenes hair is shoulder length and curly Through the left side of the screen you can see Dickys head peaking through he is also wearing a hat showing that Micky is in physically and mentally in between these two people The image shows the interior of a house Beside Mickys head there is a blue curtain and behind Charlenes head there is tan colored wallpaper Micky and Charlene are completely in focus but the back of Dickys head is out of focus The lighting is dim on Charlene and Mickys faces They are both looking in Dickys direction The way Charlene is holding onto Micky is showing how close they really are and that even though she comes off as a stern person she does have a loving and caring side Micky is also holding on to Charlene wich shows that that feeling is mutal for both partners Micky is physically sitting inbetween Charlene and Dicky and that can work mentally as well He is torn between working with his brother that wants the best for him but always lets him down or doing what Charlene thinks is best and going
