Reading about Michael Dirdas sayings taught me a lot on how to get on with your work live all you can and do what you are doing I learned to work more in order to avoid depressionGoing to class everydayComplete every assignment given to meLearned a lot about every topic discussed in class Hearing about how life is so shortMakes me reach further for my goalsPlan ahead to the futureWork harder in school for a better lifeContinuing on being in school and working harderTry harder to get an educationBe more consistentBe focused on what I need to doConclusionThese three topics gave me a lot of advice so I could realize how important it is to stay active in school and become more successful out of it As I was reading the book Back to the Lake I came across an interesting section in the book The chapter was referred to Michael Dirdas sayings on his personal experiences of being an author but I could also relate to them I read about his sayings and three of them were related to what I am doing as of todayFor instance Dirda talked about how to get on with your work The topic was very common to me because I work really hard in college so I can receive good education The reason why I chose this topic is because being in school requires hard work and it can be used to better my future A lot of work comes with being a college student for example studying for hours getting up in the morning and taking tests Even though I work hard in school I also make sure that I dont get distracted and stay focusedAnother example that Dirda expressed was how life can be so short for so many people When I look at this it motivates me and lets me see how blessed I am to be in college while others are not I can
