The Accused is about a young woman who was in a fight with her boyfriend who is a drug dealer After the fight Sarah decides to go to the bar and have some drinks She came in dressing sexy having eye contact with a guy and smiling As soon as she started dancing with the guy the guy was also drunk he picked her up and laid her down on top of a pinball machine and started to assault her Three men raped her while everybody in the bar was looking and cheering She was held down on the pinball table and they took turns having sex with her and no one stopped or attempted to stop it but they were there having fun and watching her get raped In my reaction paper I will discus the legal theory of the American Bystander Rule the Good Samaritan Doctrine and the criminal solicitation A person is guilty of criminal solicitation if the person commands induces entreats or otherwise persuades someone else to commit a felony The rest of the witnesses that was clapping cheering and goading at the bar was a good example of criminal solicitation because they encouraged the victim to commit the rape In my opinion this is what the general message of the movie was trying to get across The second trial for the men who were encouraging the rape is the central matter of the film It points out that criminal solicitation is just as wrong as the crime itself The film did a good quality job in portraying the reality of a rape crime for a woman in a lower social-class Whether a person is in low-class or high-class socially does not make them more indecent It also showed the difficulty of being heard when the woman is not so innocent in her past experiences even
