Have you ever thought about why or why not schools and colleges mayrequire attendance Many people say that if people were to pay for theclasses that they are taking they should be responsible for showing upor not many people would disagree with that School is not a right foreveryone it is a privilege because school is not free so it is abusiness and it also has policies with it It is unfair to those peoplewho are on the waitlist for a class and cannot get in while there arepeople who are in the class but dropped later on in the quarter It isunfair to those who are willing to spend the time to learn Students arenot always at fault when it comes to now showing up for school theschool does too Although some students may think that attendance isreally unnecessary in some peoples eyes it means a whole lot more thanjust signing in they want to be there to learn and be successfulThere are always rules in schools people pay for and the state also payfor most of your tuition which comes from the taxpayers Teachers arebeing paid to teach you so they have set rules that if you miss acertain amount of days you will be dropped from the class with noexceptions It is not the instructors fault that the student is notthere no matter whether the excuse is good or bad Just as an articlecalled Attendance Policies Infantilize Students stated When itcomes down to it missing class because a student was in the hospital isthe same as missing class because he or she went to Vegas Anonymous44 This quote tells us that there shouldnt be an excuse when it comesto education So why even bother to decide to sign up for the class paya whole bunch of money and later give excuses why he or she cannot makeit to class You cannot just show up to school whenever you want andexpect to pass
