I attended Night Light Yoga on October 8th 2013 with Lynne Boucher It was from 900-1015 in the Linehan Chapel The first fifteen minutes was used to find our calmness and to try to release any tension The next forty-five minutes was used to strengthen and stretch almost all of the muscles in your body This was very peaceful with soothing music The last ten to fifteen minutes was used to meditate This was in silence to find the inner peace The setting of the church under candlelight was very peaceful It set the mood for a tranquil experience Yoga is used for physical spiritual and psychological practices to create lasting tranquility According to Dr Saraswati Yoga means union This has some symbolism because many people use yoga to become one or closer with God Hinduism has four different yogas Raja Jnana Bhakti and Karma Each have a different purpose and personality type that goes along with them However to many yoga is considered a science with the different ways the body was stretched and posed When you do yoga the practices are simply felt If your heart rate is lowered your breathing was calmed and steady YogaRelating this back to society this meditation is often used in many cultures Some cultures mediate as entire cities praising their God This yoga was most like Raja yoga in the Hinduism religion since we were using our consciousness to try to reach God or peace We may not have all of been of the experimental personalities but it was interesting yoga Yoga was surprisingly very relaxing I dont think I have worked half of the muscles we used making the strength and stretching very difficult for me I definitely felt stretched out at the end and a little soar The fifteen minutes used at each end of the stretching was nice Lynne Boucher used her voice during the first time to help sooth and release
