There are many different attributes that a post-secondary student must possess to be considered successful I have chosen only a few to elaborate on In my opinion the most valuable traits a post-secondary student ought to obtain are great organizational skills a strong sense of motivation and the ability to evolve and improveOrganization is crucial for anyones success in accomplishing anything When a student is organized they are more likely to be focused on the task at hand Having all course materials information and resources readily available prevents ones mind from wondering Also keeping track of deadlines such as project due dates and test schedules in an agenda of sorts is extremely helpful Being able to quickly reference these important dates allows a student to allocate an appropriate amount of study time set time constraints and complete assignment on time Furthermore a student needs to be motivated Having goals and aspirations are important to have they help to keep a student immersed in their studies When one has a goal insight they are more likely to work harder and stay on track For example they may need a certain grade for a future course or a possible career Having that light at the end of the tunnel helps to illuminate the whole purpose behind what seems to be the endless workloads and never ending days Students that strive for excellence get just that excellence And finally in order for a student to progress in their studies they must have the ability to evolve from educational experiences They must be able to learn from their errors The successful pupil will seek help with their studies without being ashamed to do so For instance when a student does make a mistake on an assignment or test they must review the mistake and find the answer They should ask for guidance from their teachers and or any other educational support member that they feel comfortable and confident with
