Who I have become today has been based on fate and freewill as well as my relationships What I have come to believe is that certain things in my life were meant to happen which is fate but for the most part I have determined my own future Fate gave me certain ideals and I have decided whether to accept or reject those Fate has offered me certain paths and I have chosen which ones to take I also believe that much of who I am is reflected in those people in which I share a close relationship I have adopted certain beliefs from people I have had good relationships with and rejected ones with whom I have had a bad relationship with Each of these have formed who I am today a soccer crazed school savvy student I have understood that in certain ways my life has been directed by fate forcing me to follow certain paths and keeping me from others However I have become who I am today primarily because of my own choices What I have come to believe is that whoever is willing to put in the work early in order to have gratification in the end will be more successful than those that dont A test was actually performed where kids were tested at a very young age for the delayed gratification trait Those that were willing to wait ultimately became much more successful later in their lives than those that were not Hearing of this and hearing my parents tell me that sort of material has been important in what I have come to believe and who I have become but not as much as personal experience One area where I have gained a lot of what I believe is from soccer It was fate that I would be born in a good area for soccer It was fate that I was born to parents who enjoyed sports
